In loving memory of Iris T. Correia
November 7, 1931 – March 11, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Iris Correia of Burnaby, B.C., Canada (formerly of Kampala, Uganda).
Iris passed away on Saturday, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Correia; sibling of Doris (the late Raymond), Joe (Fina), William (Merle) and Mavis (the late Milo); devoted mother of the late Moira Kilmartin (Fergus), Sam (Maureen), Noel (Roxanne), the late Brian (Tazim), Josie and Joe Luis (Janis); cherished grandmother to April, Sean, Nola, Christopher, Cory, Chelsea, Jason, Robyn, Justin, Ryan, Nicholas and Lauren; and great grandmother to 9 adoring children. Iris was a calming and joyful presence in the lives of her family. She was soft-spoken, yet strong and independent.
Rest in peace Iris. You will forever be in our hearts and minds.
The services will be held at St. Francis De Sales Parish, 6610 Balmoral St, Burnaby, B.C. on Friday, March 17th.
Viewing – 10 a.m.
Mass – 11 a.m.
Burial at Ocean View Cemetery, 3883 Rumble St, Burnaby – 12:30 p.m.
Reception at St. Francis De Sales Church Hall – 1:30 p.m.
