Obituary – Bonaventure (Bon) Nicholas D’Sa

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Bonaventure “Bon” Nicholas D’Sa passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 66, surrounded by loved ones.

Bon was born on June 23, 1957, to Lawrence and Isabel D’Sa in Nairobi, Kenya. With his family, he immigrated to Canada in 1974, where they resided in Vancouver.

Bon worked various jobs, but found his true calling in finance. In his free time, he enjoyed training at the gym, attending dance lessons, and spending time at his campsite with family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his generosity and for being the life of the party, and he will be greatly missed.

He is predeceased by his father and mother. He is survived by his daughters Alison (Shoaib) and Rachel, his siblings Joseph (Geri), Apolonia, Anthony, Louis (Jennifer), Christine (Victor), and Maria (Richard) as well as Lore and his nieces and nephews.

*A celebration of his life will take place on August 28, 2023, at Jericho Pond Picnic Site (3941 Point Grey Rd) between 5-9 pm. Please bring your own lawn chair due to limited seating.*

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Diabetes Canada or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
