GOA Outreach : A COVID-19 Emergency Relief Initiative
These unprecedented times have certainly tested our resiliency – as individuals, families and as a community.
A group of community service-oriented Goan Associations from across US & Canada, have recently come together in solidarity to help those impacted in Goa as a result of COVID-19. GOA Vancouver is proud to be committed to be a part of this initiative in partnership with the Goan Charitable Organization (GCO) who will act as donation facilitator across Canada (Tax Receipts will be issued to the donors).
2 options for you to send your donations:
Option 1: Mail your cheque (payable to Goan Charitable Organization) to GOA Vancouver mailing address: P.O. Box 97064, Main P.O., Richmond, BC, Canada, V6X 8H3.

There are over 172 villages that are impacted in Goa with individuals and families that are in need of health, medical supplies, food, employment and education support as a result of the pandemic. Our goal is to help bring immediate relief in the form of basic medical supplies, food and employment support.
We have partnered locally with the Provincial Jesuits and St. Vincent De Paul Society, a volunteer-run organization with presence in most of the villages in Goa and actively involved in helping the impacted during these crucial times. The SVP Society is managed and run by lay people donating their time and effort by reaching out to the poorest of their community irrespective of their religious beliefs.
There are no administrative or any operations costs involved, as everyone in this campaign is volunteering in the US, Canada and in Goa. Our goal is to ensure that the funds benefit the impacted individuals and families.
The one-time fundraising campaign has been launched on November 13th in partnership with Goan Charitable Organization. Please consider this as an appeal for your assistance in helping our community back home that has been severely impacted. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
