GOA 7-A-Side Soccer Tournament
GOA 7-A-Side Soccer Tournament held for the first time in 2019, was a huge success. It was awesome to see the enthusiasm shown by the community at this event.
This year, we are planning a much bigger and entertaining event. We are excited to announce that this year we have a major sponsor for the tournament – TRANSOFT SOLUTIONS.
The Soccer Committee has already begun planning for the event and are happy to announce the following details:
Date: Saturday July 18, 2020
Venue: Newton Athletic Park, 7395 128 Street, Surrey, BC
Tournament Rules: All rules remain except the 2 women rule. We are relaxing the “2 women on field of play at all times” rule to “1 woman on the field of play at all times”. Our goal is to encourage more participation from women.

We will have an exhibition match for children from 10 years and above to under 15 years of age. All kids interested in playing will need to have soccer shoes & shin pads. If you have a kid in the above age range interested in playing in this exhibition match, please send their name with age to president@goavancouver.com
Team Goal Music: We will play a short burst of your chosen goal music every time your team scores a goal. Team Managers to provide the music to the organizing committee no later than 3 weeks prior to the tournament.
Cheer Leaders: This year we are also introducing cheer leaders team to encourage gals and guys to get involved in the community event. Please send in your names to the organizing committee and we will arrange for the coordinator to get in touch with you.
Vendors/Catering: On site food truck will be present for the event.
You don’t want your team and especially the female players left out of all the excitement. Get your kids involved to play at exhibition match. Join the Cheer Leaders team and get your grooves on to the pumping music.
